YES, I have actually been married for 5 years.. and no, I wasn't {exactly} a child bride. Well, maybe it depends on where you live how you define that term.We were college (or uni ;) ) sweethearts and we married a year after we graduated from school, at the ripe, young age of 22 (well, truthfully he was 23...so not a child groom). And I know you'll read all these inspiring articles about things you should do in twenties instead of get married--like travel the world, be wildly independent, establish your career.... BUT what if you meet the one person in the world that you can do all those amazing things with? Why can't you do it all?! If you meet that person, don't miss out on the opportunity to spend your life with your best friend--travel the world, learn how to be independent and dependent and selfless and adventurous, and go after that career you've dreamed about with a partner on your side.and I get it, it doesn't happen like this for everyone, but it did for me and this is my story. We were married on September 4th, 2010, the most perfect North Carolina day. A lovely sunny and 70.Surrounded by our dearest friends and family, we said our vows at First Baptist Church in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Our amazing photographers made this incredible day into picture perfect memories we'll cherish forever. Check them out here.We are headed to Norway to celebrate the BIG five years! :)
