Engelberg, Switzerland

Engelberg is best known as a quaint, small ski town in the valley of the Swiss Alps. With loads of winter sports and hot chocolate sipping to be had in the cold months, Engelberg is even quieter in the warm, summer months! The picturesque town is a perfect getaway, whatever time of year, see for yourself...     Engelberg is also home to this gorgeous monastery....Benedictine Monastery was built in 1120 and continues to house approximately 30 monks to date. There are guided tours offered almost daily but at the very least, be sure to visit the gift shop for a glimpse at the cheese making factory and obviously some delicious samples.            Want some adventure and thrill in this small Swiss town?
