*the good kind of* LOST IN EAST LONDON

I always joke that I'm just not cool enough to really hang out in East London for too long. No one has ever mistaken me for "hipster" and my husband doesn't have a really awesome beard. But anytime I read about anything really cool happening in London, it is  a l w a y s  in East London. Actually, these days I just skim to the bottom of the article to check the location before I get too crazy excited about any happenings on a school night. I know, I know, it's really pathetic but this girl loves to snuggle and watch netflix mid-week.SO naturally, the weekends are for wandering to the east....and it immediately becomes slammed full of brunches to try, markets to wander, boutiques to shop, and dun. dun. dun... of course, amazing street art to find and snap *one million* photos of.Here's my favorites of late...Chance Street in Shoreditch : what all of my colored wall dreams are made of. This vibrant wall was painted in 2013 by Claudia Walde aka MadC and it is the perfect photo op.BEST-LONDON-PHOTOSeast-london-photo east-london-photoAlso, right beside the wall of my dreams was the wall of my hub's dreams..east-london-photoWhitby Street in Shoreditch : right around the corner, you'll spot and probably instantly recognize a piece by the amazing Camille Walala. It is the cutest little entry way with a garden above...I like to imagine she was in there and wants to come out and be best friends.east-london-photo east-london-photo29 New Inn Yard, East London : Outside of Frame Shoreditch, a fitness studio, you'll probably be as motivated by the inspired street art as you are by the intense workout going on inside. This was completed by London artist, Lakwena, who's instagram is bright, colorful, and all the heart eyes.london-art-lakwena london-art-lakwenaeast-london-artCorner of Great Eastern Street and Singer Street, East London : once again, the girl, the legend... Camille Walala. I think every building should be painted by her, the world would be a happier place. I mean just look at how happy I am.camille-walala-london-art camille-walala-london-artClutch Chicken, near Columbia Road Flower Market : this black and white print design is the perfect retro backdrop but be sure to come hungry, because you can't leave without eating after catching a whiff of Clutch Chicken. *east-london-art east-london-artCorner of Ravenscroft Street and Hackney Road : this tropical illusion was the perfect winter color scheme and inspiration to push me through the dreary London winter. *east-london-artHanbury Street, Shoreditch : although previously more well known as Jack the Ripper's turf, this street was one of the original's in East London street art putting Shoreditch on the map.east-london-artNear King John Court : Okay, okay, if I'm honest, I can't exactly remember where this is. And it is questionable as to whether or not it's truly street art as I can't find any information on it and it might be glass?! Regardless, it's a pretty picture.*east-london-art east-london-art**I have scoured the interwebs and cannot confirm artists for these pieces, if you have more information please let me know!
