AFTERNOON TEA : THE SAVOY

Afternoon Tea in London is ever-evolving...there's the classic and posh, the quirky and unique, and even just wildly unconventional. Whatever your mood or style, London has the afternoon tea just for you.If you're opting for the classic, traditional experience, my new favorite spot is The Savoy on the Strand. Served in the Thames Foyer, this is the ultimate in Afternoon Tea--from the impeccable decor to the delicious menu, this is a must visit. The glass dome ceiling engulfs the room in light and all of the fresh flowers keep the place bright and welcoming...nevermind, the soothing tunes on the piano! It's the perfect combination of elegance and glamour.Splurge on the champagne afternoon tea and come hungry! You'll definitely want extras of the tasty finger sandwiches--the Wiltshire ham and mustard was my absolute fave! And the desserts just keep coming...scones, cakes and pastries...it's actually more of a feast! I broke my typical habit of ordering breakfast tea and opted for the White Peony & Rose--with whole rosebuds steeping within! As expected with a venue of this caliber, the service is flawless.SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDON SAVOY-LONDONWhere are you headed for Afternoon Tea?
