Travel Bucketlist 2015
So we spent most of the last week moving into our new flat, which has been an exciting whirlwind of packing, taxi rides, unpacking, Ikea trips, rediscovering all of the old things we shipped over that now feel like new, hammering and nailing things into walls, calling the maintenance man not once, not twice but three times (crazy Americans! don't understand anything), and alas, trying to survive with no internet. It's hard. Really hard. #firstworldproblems.I know, I know, it is as bad as it sounds to be complaining about a week without internet but you know I depend on it a little for sanity at this point as I am a new transplant in this very large city with oh, just the amount of friends to count on one, maybe two, hands if I'm generous. Also, I am desperately trying to get registered with the NMC (Nursing-Midwifery Council) which I have learned is no easy task (which I frequently will complain about to anyone who will listen, I mean there is a nursing storage in the UK, am I right? And I am over-qualified for this job, right? Ah ha, but then, my handy maintenance man educated me on a very interesting news scandal happening related to an international serial killer posing as a nurse to get a job in the UK and killing many people... whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay please, by all means, double, triple check my qualifications.)Quite a rant there. So no internet, maybe for a few weeks, and now I'm stuck in coffee shops sipping lattes to pay for the umm, 3 devices I have running on their broadband. Sorry, not sorry. On to the important stuff... My 2015 travel bucket list! It's okay to start that in the middle of the year right?! Well I figured since we moved to Europe in the middle of year it's fine to make some last minute goals for the year!
Greek Isles.. obviously I want to see the more popular ones, Mykonos and Santorini, but I am super intrigued by Kos and Zakynthos. What isles are your favorite? And what time of year?
Croatia... it looks so amazing and a little undiscovered. We are busy making plans to see Dubrovnik in August, what other cities are a must-see?
Prague... Ryan is itching to get to Prague as soon as possible! I am leaning toward November or December for the Christmas markets--I love a good market! We also have toyed with the idea of exploring Český Krumlov on the same trip...
Marrakech, Morocco...The food might be enough but then there's also the markets and belly dancers. Belly dancers always win.
Stockholm, Sweden...because I really want to ride these swings at sunset and be super adorable on that bicycle with my hubs.
Monaco...I have forever been obsessed with the iconic Grace Kelly and what would I love more than to stroll the streets that made her a princess?! Also, sipping champagne while looking at fancy yachts doesn't hurt.
Amalfi Coast...I find that often pictures can hardly do justice to the beauty we see with our eyes.. I counting on that here..
Okay now let's see how many I can check off! ;) Xx.
