Christmas Night In
Last month I spent a lovely night at AIDA in Shoreditch for a Christmas Night In with several amazing brands and bloggers. Here are some super great things from the night that I had to share with you!AIDA : it's a super chic spot in Shoreditch specializing in a wide array of unique brands and designers. The style of the store is very much the Anthropologie feel (but much cooler and hip, as only East London can pull off) while also, having this welcoming and inviting space that you instantly feel a part of. And that was totally the intent when four sisters decided to revamp their father's Shoreditch shoe warehouse three years ago. There's women's and men's wear and now introducing the amazing AIDA home collection.
The AIDA cafe served some amazing snacks and drinks for us...my fave, of course, was their amazing rum hot chocolate. It got me thinking, why have I never made this before?! I found this yummy little recipe for us to try out, it's perfect for these cold winter months...600ml (1pt) whole or semi-skimmed milk200g (7oz) dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces2tbsp golden or dark rum1 cinnamon stick100ml (4fl oz) whipping cream, whipped to soft peakscocoa powder, to servePlace the milk, dark chocolate, rum and cinnamon stick in a saucepan and heat gently, stirring until the chocolate has melted.Give it a quick whisk to blend it all together.Pour into four mugs or heatproof glasses, top with the whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder.More recipes as delicious as this over here. I was super excited for the night to meet Sonia, the creator of my new favorite sleepwear line Eight Hour Studio. The designs are very classic and designed with amazing hand block patterning, making each piece very unique and made with such love. The PJs also have this great packaging--making them a perfect gift! I love her minimalist style for bringing these PJs from nightwear to daywear as well--they are seriously such classic pieces that you shouldn't just wear them to bed ;)The lovely Alana from Fodder & Plonk showcased her super easy, SUPER DELICIOUS Christmas spice cookies. Try it for yourself here! And look how adorable she has packaged it--the perfect winter gift! AIDA Shoreditch also has an amazing beauty counter offering great vintage hair and makeup with Paul & Joe beauty products. I think this would be such a great bachelorette (or hen) party idea!
